Lora Powell-Haney: “Empathy Is No Sin”

With Love at the center, what other ways of being in the world might we cultivate? Empathy, compassion, mindfulness, self-regulation, and boundaries serve as both antidotes and “good medicine.” Let’s explore practices that help us strengthen how we live our UU faith out loud, and in these times.

Lora Powell-Haney (she/her), MDiv, currently serves as interim Director of Family Ministry at Mount Vernon Unitarian Church in Alexandria, Virginia. She has served three congregations as religious educator and multiple Central East Region congregations as an itinerant preacher, and continues her journey toward ordination as a Unitarian Universalist minister.
