April 2024 Services

April 7th, 10:45 a.m. – Peter Brooks: “Our Heritage”

A one-hour ceremony that aims to connect people with their native ancestral heritage and the land. Honor the indigenous ways and find inner peace and strength, a renewal and connection.

April 14th, 10:45 a.m. – Rev. Paul Britner: “Belonging with Integrity”

We all are simultaneously independent and interconnected. Some part of us is defined by a unique combination of personal attributes, such as our sense of humor and our preferences for … let’s say, pizza toppings. We also are defined by our sense of belonging, some of which we choose (religion, political affiliation, etc.) and some of which we don’t (ethnicity, gender, etc.). This message explores how we balance those qualities so that we may be part of something larger than ourselves without losing ourselves in the process.

April 21st, 10:45 a.m. – Rev. Karyn Marsh: “Declaration of Interdependence

From the penning of the Declaration of Independence, the concept of independence has been central to the American psyche and a point of pride. But is it possible to be truly independent? After all, no one can get into this world without another person. The pandemic, climate change, and economic turmoil all testify to our interdependence, rather than independence. Given all that is going on, it may be time to make a declaration of interdependence. In this service, Rev. Karyn Marsh will explore what such a declaration might entail.

April 28th, 10:45 a.m. – Program Committee Offering: A Celebration of Earth Day with readings and music
