December 2023 Services

December 3rd, 10:45 a.m. – 40th Anniversary Celebration

This Sunday, we will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the founding of Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Greater Cumberland. We will be hearing from founding members of the fellowship, along with past ministers and past participants of UUFGC’s RE program and how it influenced their present-day lives. We will discuss the history of UUFGC and give some peeks of the future. A reception will follow the service.

December 10th, 10:45 a.m. – Rev. Paul Britner: “Many Rivers”

As people celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, Divali, and the winter solstice, among other things, this message answers the question whether you can be a UU and belong to another faith tradition. The short answer is yes, but that does mean that you can believe anything you want.

This Sunday’s collection will be donated to the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee “Guest at Your Table” program.

December 17th, 10:45 a.m. – Solstice Service

The Program Committee will guide us as we celebrate the winter solstice. They will share readings, music, and the lighting of the Solstice circle candles.

December 24th, 10:45 a.m. – Sharing Christmas Joy, coordinated by John Fulda

Bring a reading, story, music, or memories to share your feelings about this season of love and giving.

December 31st, 10:45 a.m. – To be Announced
